There is nothing like running at a facility you’ve never competed at before! Today we competed at Red Mountain: ALTIS Carry the Shield Invitational! Annalesie Taylor (freshman) started the Tiger showcase with winning her heat in the 100m and a PR of 13.14 and 2nd on the MHS record list! In addition, she ran the 200m with a PR of 27.27!

Landen LeBlond (freshman) blew everyone out of the water in the 1600m with placing 1st with the time of 5:20:39 and Britney Perera placed 4th overall with a PR of 5:33.96, also placing 4th overall on the MHS 1600m record list. Lastly, John Weston (senior) crossing the finish clenching his first in approval in placing 3rd place in the mile with a big PR with a 4:32, placing him 4th on the MHS record list!

The 400m came down to the wire! Annaleise Taylor ran a another PR running a 1:00.98 and Madyson Goodman with a PR running a 1:02.70, also placing her 3rd overall on the MHS record list.

In the 800, which is now surprisingly a sprint, Tyler Rafferty (junior) lead the pack with a tough finish, with a PR of 1:58.22. Britney Perera (junior) ran a PR of 2:28.73. Also, Landen LeBlond with a PR of 2:20.59, which moves her to the 2nd all-time fastest time at MHS!

The longest race that gets unnoticed, but the competition was intense, Kasen Bolin (sophomore) ran an astonishing PR of 10:45.03! The runners running in a tight bunch and the fight to the finish was one for the books!

Erika Grossman (freshman) threw a PR of 28’02 in the Shot Put putting her 3rd on the freshman record list! Also, Ami Spencer (senior) throwing out the ring with a PR of 99’09 in discus and putting her 4th on the all-time MHS records list!

State is just around the corner and the Tigers are ready!
